Amazon Regional Articulation (ARA) was founded in 2007 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, by the Avina Foundation and its partners in Amazon countries, to try to combat the factors that contribute to deforestation in the Amazon. Parallel to the establishment of this regional platform, Secretariats were established in Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela and Brazil, which work independently and have their own dynamics. The issues are prioritized by ARA Regional are: forest transparency, new forest economics and cultural valuation.

Its creators and directors, Diana Rico and Richard Decaillet, are a solid and creative duo of audiovisual artists with a long history of making TV documentaries, videoclips and video art.
A private, non-profit organization, without religious or political purpose of any kind, founded in 1984, which seeks to improve the quality of life of indigenous, peasant and marginalized urban communities of the Orinoco, the Amazon and other regions of Colombia.

TBI is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in the Netherlands. It was established in 1986 in response to the ongoing concern about the disappearance and degradation of tropical rainforests worldwide. Part of its mission was to mobilize the research capacity and knowledge of Dutch universities, and it focused initially on the establishment of research programmes in a number of tropical forest countries. It now has a programme of research, capacity building and institutional development, running programmes in the Congo Basin (Cameroon and DR Congo), Colombia, Ghana, Indonesia, Viet Nam and Suriname.
